Can Symantec Endpoint Protection send short text message to administrator's mobile in case of emergency (anauthorized access to protected server, virus attack, physical interference, etc)? I know that Altiris Server Management Solution has such feature, how about SEP or other Symantec security products?

I am sure SEP cannot do

I am sure SEP cannot do that.

The maximum it can do is send you the report. It can be a idea

Not possible.

Hello,

Correct, Altiris Server Management Solution has such feature.

However, Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager Console does not have this feature.

There is an IDEA already created (please promote the same)

Hope that helps!!

Clarify please

Thank you everyone for your promt replies. If SEP is not the right solution lets find the way to solve the problem:

Which Symantec product can send short text message to administrator's mobile in case of anauthorized access to protected server, virus attack, physical interference, etc?

Altiris Server Management Solultion probably will not be the right decision - it is not security product. Am I right?

workaround

It's correct that SEP does not have this dedicated feature, however it's possible to trigger any desired program or batch file by SEP notifications. If you have such a batch file or tool which is able to send messages to mobile devices, you could trigger it by SEPM.

What if you entered an email

What if you entered an email address such as 6195551212@txt.att.net? Wouldn't that send an email to a persons smart phone? Of course, if your service provider does not have such a service, then you'd be out of luck.
