There are no Task Servers available for this computer

I have more and more recurring issues with clients and the client log shows "There are no Task Servers available for this computer"

Tasks are timing out

I cannot see anything in the Server logs

seem to have found a resolution for this

My image still has the old agent on it and many were imaged a few months ago and are still in the database (Not  purged) so when they try and register with a task server it stalls with the error message in the logs.

Deleting the clients from the database and reinstalling the agent resolves it.

Apparently in v4 there is a bug. Maybe does not affect you because you are running v3. However must be considered if you are planning to upgrade. Currently v5 is available and v6 with the bug fixed comes later in July.
