  • 1.  Is there a way to disable macro virus scanning?

    We have a piece of software that requests the following:

     

    1. Disable all “macro virus” scanning in real-time scans
    2. Disable outbound scanning of all files

     

    Are either of these options possible configuration in SEP?

    There is nothing in regards to macro virus. It would be treated like any other virus. There is no specific detection category for Macro virus. Only what's shown below:

    For outbound scanning, I would assume they mean email? Do you have the email scanning plugin enabled? If so, you can disable it via the AV policy.
