Is i download definition file and run it, it fails to process update because product 12 is not found on system, but on SEP gui it seems that virus definition is loaded

I can't migrate now to sep 12 how can obtain definiotion file for my sep 11?

SEP 11.x is EOSL so there are no more updates for it. SEP 12.1 may be able to update it but those updates will be untested and unsupported should somethign go wrong.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community,

On January 5th, 2015, Symantec Endpoint Protection version 11.0.x  reached end of support life. Virus definitions and security updates are ceased to publish to LiveUpdate and general support for the product will no longer be provided.

Endpoint Protection 11.0.x clients are no longer able to download updates from Symantec LiveUpdate or an internal LiveUpdate Administrator.

    • Endpoint Protection 11.0.x clients can still obtain virus definitions from a 12.1.x Endpoint Protection Manager. This is not a recommended or supported configuration, and should only be considered to maintain protection while completing the upgrade to SEP 12.1.x.
    • Intrusion Prevention, Proactive Threat Protection and all other content will not be available for download through any means.

You must upgrade to the latest version of SEP.
