TouchDown

I truly love the program despite some of its challenges. This new update adds some crippling problems though. Things that are key to my workflow suddenly don't work in the new version of Touchdown

• no way to invite other people to appointments while creating it
• no way to assign a task to a category while creating it

Things that I would like to see in future version

• no way to set a default view for calendar - I want it to ALWAYS open in month view
• I want to be able to open the program in the view of my choice - task view
• I want to be able to group tasks by category and due date - not just sort it.
• Favorite section for the contact view
• open the program to the last window - not always the default. You search for something, change to another program and when you hit the program icon all the work you have done is lost and you're stuck with the default view again.
• support for more than just one account - including exchange, smtp and pop

Hopefully Symantec can take this program and keep improving it

I've passed this feedback on. In the latest build, you can add people to the appointment creation, although categories on task creation isn't there yet.

Also, I've passed on your feedback. Two pieces- concerning the default opening to tasks, if you place the 'Touchdown HD/Touchdown for Smartphones' widget, it will allow you to select a shortcut, meaning you can just go directly to that screen. As for accounts, those are supported, although POP3 and SMTP are not.

Thank you for your reply. You say that in the latest build "you can add people to the appointment creation". I still cannot do that and I've checked that I have the most currently available version. I've inserted a screenshot of the Event Creation screen for reference.

Type in required/optional to add people.

Seriously? That does work but would never think to type in names in that field. Why not "invite attendees" as in the past?
