This seems to be the only thread that I don't have an option to reply or with the reply box at the bottom.

Thanks!

Hi Paul,

Thanks for confirming this.  I was beginning to think it was just me. :-)

I don't know if you read the other thread that talked about ths, but I wasn't able to use the SEPUninstall with the Migration and Deployment utility.  I was hoping for some more insight on how to get this working even though it's an unsupported utility.

This might help

I submitted the original post on https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/sepuninstaller .  I got this info from Paul Murgatroyd which solved it for me.....

"Find Unmanaged Computers will *normally* pick up all machines.. if its not, and you know which machines you want to remove SEP from, you can deploy the same files to it, using the old style Client Deployment tool, which is in the Start Menu - just tell it you want to deploy the files from the SEPuninstaller and it will do it for you."

Hope this helps.

Sorry for going off track

Sorry to all that wanted to post and couldn't for going off track with Sandeep in the post linked above.

It was not cool and/or professional on my behalf (can't speak for Sandeep).  If you have any other insight to add to it, feel free to do so, and we can try to link the threads together.  (Looking at Paul, Hear4u and Sym team if possible).

Are you talking about the Migration and Deployment Wizard?  If so, that's what I tried since I know which computers I want to uninstall from.  It copies the files from the SEPUninstaller to the c:\temp\clnt-inst folder but setup.exe is never executed and therefore the program never starts.  I must be doing something wrong.

Folks, I closed the other

Folks,

I closed the other thread as I noticed it was getting off track and beginning to get a bit personal.  I will re-open if everyone keeps comments professional and not personal. Hope you understand.

On another note, I would suggest calling support, who can trouble shoot for you and determine whether CW is truly needed...

Best,

Eric
