This issue has been solved. See solution.

Dear Friends,

What if there is a difference in the time of a SF and VCS veritas cluster nodes, how to synchronize this time difference
1. setting the time on both nodes while cluster is running
2. to setup a nntp server on both nodes
3. let the cluster running with time difference.

What are the SF and Veritas Cluster recommended health checks?

BR,
aamir

SF and VCS recommended HealthChecks

Hi Aamir,

You are also asking what are the recommended checks in VIAS and HC.  By default we run those checks automatically.  The checks themselves are described in the Services under Help and What is new.

For VIAS:
General info on main site: https://vias.symantec.com/vias/vias
Help:  https://vias.symantec.com/vias/vias/help

For HC:
What's new:  https://vias.symantec.com/labs/vhcs/whatsnew.php
Help:  https://vias.symantec.com/labs/vhcs/OnlineHCHelp/vhcs_helpdocs.html

Also look at the Sample Reports, which will show you the checks and related information.

Cheers!

SF HA, VCS Clustered Sun T5220 server Time Problem

Hi,

My Setup of SFHA, VCS Cluster, OracleRAC 10GR2, time defference problem, from the actual time clock, servers gradually going behind the actual time day by day.
I have synchronized the time with NTP servers as one Node is Master NTP server other Client, but after few days again time on both nodes going behind the actual time.
Any other solution rather than setting actual time manually.

Best Regards,
Aamir

edit "/etc/system" to include/change the following parameters:

sys_tick_freq=1165379275

After that please invoke 'init 0' to reboot the machine.
