Timeout (60000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the SepMasterService service.

Created: 16 May 2012 • Updated: 16 May 2012 | 5 comments

I am having the above problem with my Windows Server 2003 for Small Business Server (SP2). I have no idea why all of a sudden this is happening and i believe it is slowing down the server significantly. Any advice on how to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated. Full Error message below

Hello,

Could you check in the services.msc, if the Symantec Management client services & Symantec Endpoint Protection Services are up and running?

Could you please let us know what version of SEP are you running on our machine?

Both are started, i also started Symantec Network Access Control as that was not running, however it made no difference, so i stopped it. still getting this error constantly.

i have the SEP Version 12.1.1000.157 RU1

Hello,

Starting the SNAC services would not help. These services are activated when you install SNAC application.

Secondly, what if migrated to the Latest Version of SEP 12.1 RU1 MP1?

What if we uninstall the SEP client and Liveupdate from the machine and reinstall it again?

Could you check the above and let us know aht happens?
