  • 1.  timeout of our Brightmail spamfilter Server sometimes

    hello

     

    we have installed on a Windows 2003 Server as a vmware machine our spamfilter Brightmail Spamfilter and we have some timeout on this machine. The following services use sometime 100 procent of the CPU Time av_cleanner.exe and bmserver.exe. On the eventviewer we have some error messages like "Error Cleaner main failed check cleaner log for more details". if I looked there I see the following error messages "Cleaner : unable to connect to any smtp Server" "Cleaner error while processing virus spool files."

     

    We use Brightmail Anti Spam Filter Version 6.0.5.24

     

    has someone any idee what could be happen?

    I believe there may have been some cleaner related fixes in SBMF 6.1, it's probably worth upgrading and then seeing if the problem persists.
