Backup Job fails

Backup Exec 10d w/ SP4 running on Windows 2003 Server (Standard), trying to back up only local server. Job fails with the following error:

Error: e000846b, The job failed with the following error: The resource could not be backed up because an error occurred while connecting to the Backup Exec for Windows Servers Remote Agent.
Make sure that the Remote Agent is installed on the target computer and is running.

There is no remote agent involved. I'm only backing up the local drives (C: and D:).
This started about a week ago.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Remote agemt is required

Hi

Remote agent is still required even if you are backing up local drives . You can verify that by stopping BE remote agent service and you'll not be able to see any local resources .

Hence please verify that remote agent service is running and that is running with Local system account

Pleae let me know if that helps

Thanks
Zaki
