    Posted Apr 18, 2016 12:10 PM

I just upgraded my Samsung 6s to Android 6.0 and I no long have the "Sync Now" option. I cannot locate it anywhere and my mail replicates or syncs every 4-5 hours.

    Any ideas here?

    Thank you

    Kevin

Are you on Touchdown for Smartphones? If so, the fix is to uninstall Touchdown for Smartphones and install Touchdown HD from Google Play- Touchdown HD is optimized for Android 3.x and above, and has better soft menu support. Your license will be valid for either version. Let us know if you need help with anything else.

I am having a similar issue. I just installed Touchdown HD on Android phone (Lollipop version) and I cannot find a way to "Synch"  I checked all of my settings from KitKat phone and the all appear to be the same.

    Hi,

There should be a three dots icon that you can tap on the main screen that opens up a menu with settings and various other options, including sync.

I did download Touchdown Venus, and it configured perfectly. It is only the Alpha build, but it appears to work at least as well as the current Touchdown build. Also, a working alpha build is better than a non-working current build.

Me too. I cannot configure at all. My Touchdown app doesn't work because I can't get it configured. It fails at every configuration attempt.

Yet, still, Venus can be unstable. It would be really neat if the current Touchdown could configure on my Turbo 2 in Marshmallow as it did before teh Marshmallow upgrade.

    Hi,

Venus is the way Touchdown is going, so I'd recommend sticking with it.

    Peterjung,
I understand this is how touchdown is going but there is an obvious issue here with the existing application which requires support.  I also have this problem after a marshmellow upgrade.  I can't get to settings to verify how I had everything setup in order to move to a new phone.  Nor can I manage my out of office settings anymore.

If the new version is the only answer I will probably look for alternative applications.

The new version will be pushed out to all users eventually, so there won't be any difference between Touchdown HD and Touchdown for Smartphones.

Well it makes a difference for everyone upgraded to Marshmellow, Today!  So I would recommend this change happens sooner than later since the Touchdown HD was originally designed for Tablets I would bet 90% of your installs are with the version that is no longer working.

I find it sad that we are even having this conversation instead of trying to provide a resolution for users in this post.

Dunno if this helps, but I'm running touchdown HD 8.5 (not Venus) in Marshmallow (s7) , and if I touch the yellow touchdown logo on upper left in my inbox, I get a screen that has a settings button on top (third from right).. that opens to all the configs I need (including advanced/legacy settings screen).

I recently upgraded my phone to a Turbo 2 (great phone!) and installed TD HD.  The phone is running Marshmallow.  The experience has been extreemly disappointing.  The app either ignores the press to open or freezes to a black or white screen 90% of the time.  I get the failed to respond / report message.  It is to the point that I am considering installing Outlook.

I am OK with the UI changes that have been introduced with Venus.  I just need it to work!  it worked on my old Turbo running Lollipop.

I have been a user of TD since my Droid Razr days and I hope to continue being a TD user, but this has got to improve.

    Hi,

Can you try reinstalling in case the upgrade caused some corruption? We have not seen that behavior in testing at all. Let us know if that helps.

I installed the update that showed up in the Play Store and TD is now working as expected!

I just purchased the Galaxy Note7 and cannot get Touchdown to run.  I have tried all 3 versions and none work.  One problem is that when I go to "Settings" and try to add a Touchdown account, it will not select.  If I try to set up an account from within Touchdown, it will allow me to do so from Settings but will not sync with my email server.  PS, this is a business email server.  Any suggestions?
