I am trying to connect TouchDown 8.5.0094 running on Android 4.4.2 to an Exchange 2003 server that uses something called "Outlook Anywhere".

The settings I have been given are shown below. I have also been told to set Proxy authentication in Outlook to 'Basic Authentication'.

I also need to accept the certificate that has a differnet name.

I can connect with Outlook 2010, no problem, but can't get TouchDown to connect.  I tried to raise a support ticket but the sysme just hangs when I tell it the product name!

    Any thoughts, anyone

The Outlook anywhere external address would be: https://agecocernmalvern.dyndns.org

The internal server address would be: server.ageconcern.local

TouchDown typically requires the server to support ActiveSync to make the connection. I am not sure if you have that enabled. While it also supports a protocol called webDAV if configured just right, the best bet is to ensure you have ActiveSync enabled and test it using testexchangeconnectivity.com

Thanks for the reply - I don't know the server has active sync enabled. I'll have to ask the support guy.

A bit more digging shows that I have to connect via a proxy (the https address) and then specify the local domain name of the server. It's what used to be called rpc over http and I can't work out how to set the proxy in Touchdown.

Also, with Outlook on Windows, I have to import the certificate into the trusted CA store before it will work.

I have tried a range of settings and options to no avail. Ideally, I'd like a step by step to configure Touchdown for RPC over HTTP...
