I recently updated my nexus 5 to android lollipop 5.0 and everytime i open touchdown (only the email section) it shows a black screen and then closes the app. Do you know what might be causing this?

I have frequent lockups in Touchdown HD in Android 5.0.  Did not have this issue in KitKat.  I'm seeing these issues on Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 device.

Does Symantec even read this thread? Not even an acknowledgement they are looking into it. Go figure.....

Hey guys I understand your pain which is why I just made the switch to Nine. It's half the price as touchdown has a far better UI and if a bug is reported they get it fixed asap. Just check there blog and you will see how fast they knock them out.

Another app is not an option for me, since Touchdown is dictated by Corporate Security.

    Nexus 6.

I can't add a calendar event without Touchdown crashing. Also, email read on device are not sync'd back to desktop, however, email read and calendar events created on desktop are sync'd to device.

Looks like there will never be an update to touchdown.  Symantec bought the app and dumped it!

If you can try something new. Look for Nine in play store.

The lollipop issues have been addressed for the most part, and if you write to support, they can provide you with the fix.

@buntspecht, Symantec has not dumped the product, on the contrary, massive investments are being made in the products, at a scale unachievable as NitroDesk. Unfortunately this means moving away from the instant gratification incremental update mode that existed previously. Would appreciate if you can keep this forum limited to mostly technical discussions around TouchDown and not referrals to other products.

This thread is open for quite a while and now you write that "The lollipop issues have been addressed for the most part". Good news..... But why should I contact support. This is something you call support Forum. Means support should be informed? Or the late reply means support ignores the forum? Looks like some folks are waiting for a solution. What about putting an url here? BTW: I wrote an email to support. Same result like here: Silence.

Please email touchdown-support@symantec.com for a beta build that addresses this issue.

I posted here about 1 1/2 months ago about this issue and now I finally have a reply. I just sent an email to -  touchdown-support@symantec.com just now and I hope it will not be another 1 1/2 months to get a link to the beta url.....

@GouthamSukumar Please come back to this thread and update us once in awhile. Anything other than silence would be appriciated.

I emailed support, got a reply in less than one hour with the link.  I'm not going to post that link here, as I think it's beneficial for Symantec to hear from everyone that has the issues.  More reports, faster action.

p.s. can confirm after installing the app (v 8.5.00078) that the calendar bug is now fixed.

thanks @tphilippe. To clarify, the reason for that is not because we really want everyone to write to support, but because we prefer users to not download a wrong build at a later date.

Thank you Goutham.  Do you have a target date for Play Store Release?
