    I recently downloaded a Norton Removal tool that caused my computer to go nuclear.  I was asked to shut down and reboot so when I did I ended in having to do a complete system recovery.  I tried to use the tool to remove the tracking cookie and that was the result.  The tracking cookie keeps coming up on my full scans and it always shows up deleted.  I never had that problem before and now the message is there every time I run a full scan.

     What tool was this? What was the source of the download? What OS are you running? What AV product and version is installed on your system?

    In the future, you should post Norton issues in the Norton Community, as this forum in used for Enterprise product support.
