Traffic Flow for DLP and PGP integaration

Dear All,

we have to deploy PGP and DLP in a scenario.

Goal: First the content of emails are check via DLP web then email should be moved to PGP universal server for encryption.

Question: Can PGP universal server act as SMTP Relay ? and rather then sending email back to MTA can we directly forward it to PGP universal Server?

Actual Flow that i have found on presentation is this

USER -> MTA-> DLP WEB->MTA->PGP Universal Gateway server->Internet

Can it be like this?

USER -> MTA-> DLP WEB->PGP Universal Gateway server->Internet

Yes, the Universal Server put in email gateway mode, meaning it contains proxy functionality for ie SMTP.

Can it be like this?

USER -> MTA-> DLP WEB->PGP Universal Gateway server->Internet

As far as for the Universal Server, there's no reason for it not to work in that order.
