Our company uses Symantec Backup Executive version 12.5 Rev. 2213.

One of the backup jobs is failing due to a file being corrupt. The path to this file is \C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\tralog.log. This file is the traffic log for the built in firewall from Symantec Endpoint Protection version 11.05.

This server is backed up regularly.

What would be the best course of action in this situation?

If I delete the corrupted tralog.log file will SEP replace it automatically or will I need to recreate it manually?

What if you just exclude this file from being backed up?

You can delete although you lose the log. It should be re-created automatically.

    Thank you for your responce.

Due to company policy I cannot exclude this file from our backups.  Since it has been backed up and SEP will recreate it, deleting it is ok in this situation.
