Endpoint Protection

I have a License agreement for (17) units of Symantec EndPoint Protection through American PC or their new sister company, ClearPath in Morton, Illinois 61550.  One of the license was for my old laptop that I am replacing with a new Dell Inspiron with Windows 7 license agreement.  my for my old Dell laptop.  EndPoint Protection on my old laptop with Windows XP Pro  Operating System.  I recently bought a new Dell Laptop with Windows 7 Operating System.  How do I get my corporate licensed Symantec Endpoint Protection software transfered to my new company laptop.  Do I need to download a different version for Windows 7 ?

Get the latest Install Package from the person in charge of the SEP managmenet server.

Older versions of the installer sometimes fail on Vista and 7.

Which version you are using .

SEP 11 does not require any license, so it is not that difficult task as you think

SO what you need to do?

Uninstal SEP from theld machine and install the SEP on the new laptop by:

1. Creating the packge and locally installing it on the client.

2.Installing it from the SEPM

Answers:-

1) Version compatible for Windows 7 are from 11.0.5 onwards where 11.0.6300 is the latest version which is also compatible.

2) You do not have to worry about the licenses as the licenses are just mere paper work and they are not be installed on the software by any chance.

3) uninstall the SEP version from the old laptop and then download the latest version from 

https://fileconnect.symantec.com

Enter the serial number(M12345678)

And download the product and install the same.
