Hello,
I'm new to enterprise vault and will be managing an exchange 2010 environment with enterprise vault 9 installed, in a couple of weeks. In order to get familiar with enterprise vault 9 I would need a trial download of it. Does anybody know if there is a trial for enterprise vault 9 available?
I already downloaded a trial for enterprise vault 10 but I prefer to have exactly the same version I'll be managing in the future.
Thanks!

There is no trial available on the internet.
A trial can be requested at Symantec, if you work at a Symantec partner, contact your Symantec Partner manager. If you are an end user customer, contact your Symantec partner/supplier.

i would also recommend taking the 1-week admin training class to help you learn the foundation for the product all the basic admin tasks that you'll be doing on a regular basis.

@ZeRoC00L - thanks will go one of the ways described by you.
@ AndrewB - is that 1-week admin training web based?
Thanks.
sure, they offer both in person and web based

ok, thanks.
You can actually download the trial version of EV 10 here:

As Andrew said, the training is HIGHLY recommended.

he got the EV10 trial before posting but was looking for EV9 trial since that's the version he's going to be working on

hello Tony and AndreB,
thanks anyway for the link, that's the one I already had and I'll be trying that one. As far as I understood from some postings and guides there should be of course some differences between EV 9 and EV 10 but it seems the most important change ist the 64 bit compatibility.
Regards, robertazo
So the major difference is the 64-bit Index engine, most everything else will be the same. If it were me I would focus on getting up to speed with EV 10.
Also, the system you are going to be managing should have the EV 9 installation media, couldn't you get a copy from them?

this is something I need to find out if it would be possible, I will check that.
Anyways I went through all the prerequistes before installing EV 10 and I'm about to install EV 10 on my test environment so I can really see it in reality.
Cheers.
