Endpoint Protection

I am trying to create a limited administrator account.  I create the account, and assign it a password.  I then try to log on to the SEP remote management console with the newly created account, and I get "The administrator's user name or password is incorrect.  Type a valid user name or password."

I am NOT using AD authentication, and I would prefer NOT to.  Any ideas why this is happening.  Is there some "update" button that I am missing.  I am currenlty running only one SEP server, and we are using 12.1

User name and password is Case sensitive..

I even tried creating an account that is so simple a 5 year old could log in.  everything lowercase in the user name and in the password, so that is not an issue.

Also, I just tried creating an account that is tied to AD authentication, and I had the user try to log in.  Same problem.  When I created the account, the console said that the account was created successfully. 

I assume you can log in with other accounts?

What is the exact error message?

Does it tell you the user name or password is incorrect, type a valid user name or password?

Do you have multiple domains?

What happens if you uncheck the Box for Directory Authentication (Edit the Limited Administrator > Under Authentication TAB)?

Any accounts that were previously created are fine.  I can log in with my personal administrator account (tied to AD authentication), and I can log in with the local SEP administrator account.

And only 1 domain for SEPM?

Yes, typing in the domain did work for the limited account. 

So, is there no way that the limited account could log in without selecting a domain, and only have access to the domains that the administrators specify?

If not, this would be a really nice feature for future releases.

You just need to close the page and re-open. Seems to be a weird bug on here.

no, actually, I needed to type in the domain to which the limited account needs to log in as there are 4 different domains in my SEP server.
