  • 1.  Trouble with install of SEPM 12.1 and Liveupdate

    My company recently purchased the license for the newest version of SEPM (12.x) for our small network, because we reached the end of the previous versions lifespan and were no longer able to receive the newest virus definitions. However after downloading the two compressed install files online from Symantec, extracting them, and running the setup.exe we are not able to complete the install.

    More specifically during the SEPM install wizard, it gets caught up on the status "Waiting for LiveUpdate to finish..." which leads to the status "Rolling back action:"

    This leads the installation wizard to be completed, however it claims the wizard was interrupted before the SEPM could be completely installed and it states the system has not been modified.

     

    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this issue? Is there another step we need to take?

     

    Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    Is this 12.1.5? Can you check the %temp% directory to see if there an install log and post here for review?

    Does you have install fresh SEPM ?  have you try to install another machine ?

    Please post the logs.

    Try to using Wipeclean the old SEPM, reboot, and install the fresh SEPM 12.1.x.

    However, Is that Windows Server 2003 ??
