I get a similar error on my XP64 machines, unsure if it is related.

Odd thing is I didn't install TruScan. TruScan it is part of proactive threat protection (PTP) which appears to be incompatible with my Iris software (specialist accouning software). :smileysurprised:

I guess it is worth waiting until the main LiveUpdate issue is fixed, then see what happens.

Crossing my fingers. :smileyvery-happy:

I guess it was the answer to the wrong question.  I loaded the client on my laptop on 30 Aug 09 and on 31 Aug I got TruScan has generated an error: code 9: description: Heuristic Scan or Load Failure.  Didn't fix my problem :(

I am not getting this on 2 machines that had SAVCE 10.x manually uninstalled first then SEP pushed to them.   The machines getting the errors had SAVCE left on them and allowed SEP 11.0 installation remove SAVCE.   Is there a problem letting a pushed install of SEP, remove the older SAVCE???    I am about to uninstall SEP manually then run clean up then repush SEP to see if the errors go away.

These 2 machines are also not getting the "Rtvscan.exe ccScanW.dll errors "

One of the 2 machines is an SBS 2003 server.

Anything to add from you?

I am seeing this problem on my system as well.

TruScan has generated an error: code 9: description: Heuristic Scan or Load Failure

I think it is also resulting in turning off Proactive Threat Protection "WAITING FOR UPDATES".

Have MR2 MP2 installed with no improvement. Uninstalled and reinstalled everything with no change.

Any other suggestions for fixing this problem?

I've got this issue as well. This product is terrible - absolutely terrible. I'm so disappointed with this release (11) in any MR flavor. It's a resource pig and is extremely slow when managing. I've got SEPM on a 3G Xeon proc, with 1.5G of mem. It runs like a 95 year old man. I've only got 25 clients running in my environment too. No, there's nothing else running on my SEPM server either; it's only SEPM. What a joke. Unfortunately, the joke is on me.

Not fixed?

I've just come across a Windows 2000 Pro Workstation 32bit MR4 client that has this in the event log and the sheild in the system tray has a red circle with a slash through it.  Is there a fix for this other than trying to replair the installation?  Makes me wonder how many more clients are affected.

Same problem as the rest

Just recently downloaded Client Endpoint Protection and have received the following:TruScan has generated an error: code 9: description: Heuristic Scan or Load Failure.  Updating runs and acts like it worked but the red circle slash on the shield remains.  I am not running a server but a stand-alone client.

Try to uninstall and Reinstall Tru Scan

Go to ADD/Remove Programs
Select Change on SEP
Click Modify -> uncheck the Tru scan option (Which is under Proactive Threat Protection)
Finish the installation
Restart the PC

Try to follow the same procedure
This time Check the Tru-Scan Option
Hopefully this should fix it
:)
