Endpoint Protection

We are using Endpoint 11.0.5002.333

I have a client PC that is showing the error: TruScan has generated an error: code 9: description: Heuristic Scan or Load Failure

This persists after reboot.

The definitions for TruScan are dated: 5th April 2010 r18

What can be done to resolve this issue please ?

I should add that the client itself says that the definitions are out of date, and has thus disabled Proactive Threat Protection.

Which is the OS?
Is it a server os?PTP will not work with server os..

It's on a Windows XP SP3 workstation.

Go to ADD/Remove Programs
Select Change on SEP
Click Modify -> uncheck the  Proactive Threat Protection
Finish the installation
Restart the PC

Try to follow the same procedure
This time Check the Proactive Threat Protection Option
Hopefully this should fix it

Later on in the day Endpoint appeared to correct itself without any intervention and is no longer showing that error.

Thank you for the information that helped me resolve that error code 9 Aravind.  I did as you suggested and the error is gone.

Uninstall and reinstall PTP, it works for me.. TQTQ
