We have our SEPM 12.1.5 (embedded database) on a Windows 2003 server that we're going to be decommissioning.  Yeterday, I installed the SEPM software on a Windows 2008 server as an additional site.  I set up the replication and everything looked to go OK.

This morning, I created a new client group to test out a few worksations.  I made a new Management Server list that included only the new SEPM server and assigned it to that test group.

Now on one of the clients I see some strange behavior.  If I open SEP and go to Help>Troubleshooting > Management, the server keeps cycling between both of the management servers and going offline every few seconds.

I've rebooted and cycled the SMC service but this behavior continued.

Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks in advance.

Did you configure the management server list so that the new SEPM is at priority 1?

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I think you are facing similar issue mentioned here: https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/how-do-i-deal-client-lost-connection-sepm-1215

With reference to this thread as well https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/httpdexe-crashing-1215#comment-10865371 Could you check whether you have been affected by known issue?

Yes, the new management server list I created has the new SEPM as Priorty one.  The old management server is not on this list.
