There aren't a lot of tweak
There aren't a lot of tweak guides for IM Manager, if you need specific recommendations, Support and Sales might be able to give you specifics.
For general rules of thumb are:
1. IM Manager can support upto 5000 public IM users per server (more for things like LCS/OCS)
2. High Availability or Disaster Recovery means having additional IM Manager 'Front-end' servers. Load Balancers can be handy here.
3. Be sure to purge older data in your database to avoid performance issues down the road.
4. Avoid putting other mission critical applicaitons on the IM Manager Front End servers (if one applicaiton goes down it could take the other with it)
5. When in doubt, search the KBs or call support.
Hi MBE! can you elaborate on
Hi MBE!
can you elaborate on the issues that might occur if older data isnt purged from the database? also, what is considered older data or since that's relative to the number of conversations, at what size does the IMM db become a problem?
