Hi All,

Someone can help me? I don't know why SEPM provide two differents reports about client online status?

Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

Could you please share the locations from where you grab this snapshot.

Most probably one is from 'Home page' & other is from Monitors tab 'Compliance summary'.

This is how it's design.

Home page will give you generic idea and if you want more info you can check through 'Monitor' tab.

Hello,

What version of SEP 12.1 are you running? Make sure you are running the Latest version of SEP 12.1.3001 on your environment.

Home page displays last 12 hours information by default and maximum upto last 24 hours.

Secondly, check this Article:

On the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) Home Page, the Endpoint Status count adds up to more clients than exist in the environment

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH201770

Hope that helps!!

Hi All,

The version of SEPM is 12.1 RU1. The first is from main 'Home page' and the second is from Report tab, report type= computer status and client online status report.

Best Regards.

Hi,

Thank for the update.

I judged wrongly second screenshot & I do apologize for that.

Home page gives you real time date while report tab gives you last 24 hours data or depend what time range you have selected.

Hi Chetan,

I don't understand the discrepancy between the two figures, because the report tab is for the last 24 hours only and i didn't add any new SEP client in the network.

Regards.

Hi,

I do understand there shouldn't be discrepancy if there is not any change in the network clients.

Had you performed database restore?

In the SEP 12.1 RU1 MP1 following is the one of the fix:

Client online status is not reflected correctly after restoration of embedded database
Fix ID: 2620816/2612223/2659915/2710490
Symptom: After an embedded database is restored from backup, the client online status is not reflected properly in the SEPM console. The SEPM logs may also contain the messages:
1) Assertion failed: 200114
2) Can't find values for row <ID> in index 'I_SEM_AGENT_COMPUTER_ID_PLUS'
3) java.sql.SQLException: [Sybase][ODBC Driver][SQL Anywhere]Unable to find in index 'I_SEM_AGENT_COMPUTER_ID_PLUS' for table 'SEM_AGENT'
Solution: The SEPM database restore function was updated to properly rebuild indices of databases that were created or migrated from SEP 11.0.

SEP 12.1 RU2 has the following fix.

Client details incorrectly indicate the status has never changed
Fix ID: 2681947
Symptom: Computer status report correctly shows the last time the status changed, but the client details indicate the status has never changed.
Solution: Changed the source of the client details.

I would suggest to upgrade to the latest version of SEP.

Upgrade is quite easy. You can refer the following article in that case:
