I am running a Windows Domain, mix of Win2003 Server and Win2000 servers. I have Symantec Corporate Edition v10.1. It is running on the Windows 2000 Server.
I have discovered that the Add/Remove programs screen has 2 entries for Liveupdate.
LiveUpdate 1.6
LiveUpdate 3.0
I used the Symantec website to update LiveUpdate to 3.4 so now I have 2 entries:
LiveUpdate
LiveUpdate1.6
Can I remove the LiveUpdate1.6?
Also, I'm reading Doc ID:2003022805200148 (LiveUpdate incorrectly displays "All Symantec Products and compnents installed on your computer are currently upt to date"). I determined I have product.inventory.liveupdate, which is associated to Liveupdate 1.6. If Liveupdate was over v2, I should have product.catalog.liveupdate. Will there be any complications if I uninstalled 1.6?
I've been working on this all day. I couldn't find anything searching. Or maybe I'm brain-dead from trying to solve these issues. If there's a topic that covers this, please let me know so I can check it out.
