  • 1.  Two servers not appearing or reporting back at the system uptime report

    Hi All,

    I have installed the altiris agent on both machines,which reports fine and even sends critical alerts to my mailbox.However i need them to appear or report back at the system uptime report which is under monitor and alerting sector.I am currently monitoring 12 machines 10 appearing okay at the system uptime apart from the two machines.Any ideas as to why and how can i have it appear or report at the system uptime report?

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Hi Zebbris,

     

    have you checked the all the monitored resources are picked up under the real-time monitor? if the 2 servers are availible, select one and verify if the system uptime metric is availible, select it and see if it reports a value.

    Just to expand on Rufus's comments

    Are you referring to the canned report 'Server Availability' ? That report is based on the agentless metric for ICMP monitoring. If you look at the report in XML view you can see it references the

    GUID = 695A6729-C8B3-4722-8542-0148073DD302

    and in instance of STATUS

    I would check to make sure those servers are being picked up by agentless monitoring.
