Hi People,
I'm having problem in configuring the unmanaged SEP v11 MP5 client which will be going to secure DMZ environment, however my understanding is that in WIndows Server 2008 R2 when you install SEP client, the windows firewall is no longer active because one of the SEP feature called (Network Threat Protection) is taking the precedence.
I have created the allowed port in the Windows Firewall but I do not know how andwhere to configure it on the SEP client locally ?
can anyone assist me here pelase ?
Thanks

Pete,
Which one should I configure to allow port to be opened when I'm using the SEP unmanaged client v11.0.6005 ?
Do I have to define the firewall rule both in SEP and in Windows Firewall ? or just in Windows Firewall only ?

the port that needs to be opened depends on the application you using? for ex. if you want ftp then port 21 needs to be opened.
running two firewall on same machine is not a good idea. SEP firewall is better than the windows as it minitors the outgoing traffic as well you have opetion based on application, time etc. Hence configure the firewall rules on the SEP.
