Unable to add my external HDD to the device list on Backup Exec 11d

Hi Guys,

I have a backup file (BKF) which i took from Backup exec with my previous server. But now I have only the backup files in my External Hard drive and I am unable to restore my backed up datas from the bkf file. I have installed the trail version of backup exec 11d on another server and i am trying to restore the datas, but it couldn't take my external hdd to device pool. If I do add device from the pool, its says "there are no other device to be added to this pool at this time". If anyone willing to help me to restore my data would be very much appriciated.

Try below steps. 1) Within BE

Try below steps.

1) Within BE console, create a B2D folder and give the path of external HDD where .bkf files are stored.

2) Perform an inventory on the above B2D folder and than run a catalog job.

3) Once catalog job completes successfully you may open restore window and proceed with the restore.
