Hi all,
I have a Altiris Deployment solution 6.9 SP1 setup in which am able to capture both XP & Vista images successfully in .img format but when i try to distribute those images to the other Client PCs, the Rdeploy GUI screen is stuck with no progress indication for hours.
These are the steps i followed:
1. Prepared Reference PC with OS(XP), Patches & necessary software.
2. Installed AClient on from the Deployment Console.
3. Created a job with task to capture image and also enabled sysprep.
4. Sysprep did its magic and the PC restarted to PXE via network boot.
5. At the Altiris Automation solution screen the image capture was complete as .img and the status was also shown as success in the console.
6. Later i created a new job to distribute image and the client PC booted to PXE via netwok and its stuck for more than an hour without any progress.
The image distribution screen has
Rapideploy 6.9 on the top
the status stuck @ 0%
Below status bar is 'imaging NTFS from slot 1'
Mode : Restore
File : \Images\SOEs\XP-Pro.img
Thruput: 0MB/min (0 Mbps)
i tried following few Altiris KB articles for distributing .img to PCs and googled a bit with no success..
Am not sure if am missing any steps in the Deployment server configuration.
Please advice.
