Unable to change license

Hi

I am trying to change the trial version  license of the PGP desktop to a full license but unable to do so using the "Change license" option in the Help tab.

After i key in the license key, its going for a authorizarion but fails saying either the network is down or it doesnt have permission to access web.

I checked the network connection and its fine so please let me know what the issue could be.

I think following this Knowledge Base Article should do it for you.

That knowledge base article list manual authorizations for everthing except for PGP Desktop Home.

The Home and Professional software are the same software (the licensing determines which components are activated) - will the Professional authorization work for you?

That's what I was hoping, but none of the authorizations listed worked.  sad

I'm begining to think that the article applies to symantec issued licenses.  Mine is an original PGP Corp issue.

I'll call Symantec now and see what they say.

Yes.  As I suspected, apparently the article didn't exactly apply to my situation.

Customer service was very helpful and got me up and running!
