When I try to connect to my SEPM using the Console, I have a error message "Check that the server is running and that you enter correct parameters".
When I try to Backup the Database , I have the message "Fail to connect to database, Impossible to backup the site"
All my Symantec Endpoint Clients are running as standalone and are unable to connect to the SEPM

All Symantec EndPoint Services are running.
What to do to checks the SEPM system ?

Hi Laurent, I would like you

 Hi Laurent,

I would like you to run the ODBC source to check the Database connectivity with the SQL only account, you are using for SEPM database. Check to be sure if you are able to passed the test with SEPM SQL only account.

Also if possible, try to connect with sa account and see if that works. Could be an issue with size limit on the database, try to increase the database size limit to get rid of this error message. Thanks

Regards
Nitin

Upgrade to 11.0.5002.333 MR5 did not work

You cannot log on to the console because the server is not synchronized with the database.
Upgrade the server and then log on to the console.

I have already tried repair and configuration of the sem5 database several times.

Windows Server 2003 (sbs) SP2

Does anyone have a solution that does not involve deinstall of the broken installation?

Hi Christer,
You should have open a new thread on forums.:)

Did you backup your DB before upgrading to MR5?
If yes then you can uninstall the SEPM & reinstall it & then restore the DB.

Hi

Checked your log and found  that its not able to create a poolable factory

.SQLNestedException: Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory

Most of the times its restriction on the SYSTEM account or lack of permision for that account

open services.msc

right click on symantec endpoint protection manager service. click on properties.

click on log on , YOU WILL FIND SYSTEM ACCOUNT

Configure the service to use your admin account and password, start the SEPM service, you should be able to log in , let me if this works for you.

Please check these discussions and make sure the version of java and sql services in place
