Unable to discover Client on Deployment Console 6.9 SP5

Hii,

I have installed the DAgent on Windows 7 machine but Unable to see the entry of that particular machine in the Deployment Console.

Checked the machine IP address.Able to ping,Firewall is off,Computer has the correct IP address.

 

Suggest something on this.

Are you positive that DAgent is running?  Do you have the little "a" icon in the system tray?  If so, double-click on it and view the status.  Make sure there are no errors here.  You may need to verify the settings so that the DAgent knows where to go for the DS server.

Check the services on the client to see if Altiris Deployment Agent is started and running. If not start it. If you can't start it, remove the Dagent and reinstall it. I've also had our server lose connection with the database before and had to reboot the server.

A netstat is a convincing way to see if the agent is connected to your server. A netstat filtered by tcp 402 with 'find' can be illuminating,

 

 C:\Users\user>netstat -a | find "TCP" | find ":402"

  TCP    10.16.22.162:63075     altiris-lib:402    ESTABLISHED
 
This tells me I am connected to altiris-lib on TCP 402 from my client at the address 10.16.22.163. So for me, everything is OK ;-)
