    Hello All,

I have been trying to download MS Bulletins for the month of August 2014 and while downloading them I receive the attached error. I have conducted the following troubleshooting:

    • Disabled the Bulletin and then tried to download it again.
    • Deleted them from the location where the bulletins are downloaded and re-tired downloading them.
    • Recreated the bulletins, but in spite of doing this still the bulletin downloads half way and then errors out

But still I am unable to fix this issue, seeking your assistance / guidance in what I may be missing  to resolve this issue.

    Regards

    Wert

Hi, have you tried to run the Log Viewer with traces during staging process? Usually it will help pinpoint the issue. Might be a connection problem, but I would not speculate without seeing the logs.

Correct, but please enable Errors, Warnings and Informational as well as Traces during downloading bulletins.

It appears most likely to be an issue with network security preventing the downloads, for there were 2 updates able to download per your screen shot, and I presume the others are restricted executable types.

Please review KM: TECH186657 for additional assistance with how to allow for the needed download locations to pass through network security. Also review KM: HOWTO5496, for it also details updates failing download due to this type of restriction.

Although, the actual errors in the logs may differ from these troubleshooting steps, so follow Alex's directions first, for that will be the start point of isolating the cause for download failure.

Let us know if you have any questions regarding the Log Viewer and we will be happy to help.
