    Hi,

I wish to encrypt one of my internal sata hard disks with WDE but PGP Desktop UI does not show it as having any mounted volumes to encrypt. (This is a non system disk but does have the pagefile on it).

The UI just shows it as:

    "931.5GB Fxed Disk

    ATA Bus: SAMSUNG HD103SJ"

I am using PGP Desktop 10.1.2 on Windows 7 SP1 x64. I understand PGP supports GPT disks but for some reason PGP doesnt seem to recognise this one even though it has a perfectly working NTFS partition.

pgpwde.exe --enum shows the disk as

"Disk 1 has 0 online volumes:"

    pgpwde --disk 1 --status

Disk 1 is not instrumented by bootguard.

Can anyone shed any light on why PGP wont show the partition so I can encrypt it?

    Regards,

    Achelon

PGP Desktop for Windows does not currently supported GUID Partition tables. Only MBR partition table formats. PGP Desktop for Mac is the only current release by PGP that supports GUID partition tables.
