  • 1.  UNABLE TO EXPORT INSTALL PACKAGES!!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

    Posted May 28, 2009 02:38 PM

All of sudden, when I try creating a new export package, I get an error message:  failed to retreive policy from the management server...The previous packages that I had created can be deployed.  Uninstalling SEPM did not work, tested ODBC, users have the apppropriate rights to DATA folder, rebooted server, tried repairing the server, updated the server...nothing works.  At one point I lost all connections to my clients but I was able to reconnect them...

    The packages might be corrupted.

Delete the package from the SEPM. Go to Admin > Install Packages and select the packages that are giving the error during the export, and delete them from the SEPM.

Then, go ahead and import the package from the CD1, SEPM folder into the SEPM and try to export it again.

Let us know if this helps.
