    Hello,

I believe you are running the SEP 12.1 clients.

Are the clients Managed OR Unmanaged?

In case they are managed and this issue is occurying on all client machines, then do check if the SEPM is updated.

In case they are unmanaged client, please check if these clients are connect to the internet.

Symantec Endpoint Protection: LiveUpdate Troubleshooting Flowchart

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH95790

More detailed information about why LiveUpdate failed can be found in the following log file:

    <drive></drive><Drive>:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Log.LiveUpdate

LiveUpdate Engine creates a log file called Log.Lue. This log can be found in the following location when LUE was run on a self-managed client:

On Windows XP and Windows server 2003:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\<silo_id>\Data\Lue\Logs

On Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008:

    C:\Program Data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\<silo_id>\Data\Lue\Logs

    Hope that helps!!

Thanks guys for the various way to troubleshoot it, I have found that the issue was caused by another Live Update process (initiated by the LUA server v2.3.2) was still in progress.

Killing the process and then kicking off the Live Update download from the SEPM console does the tricks.
