This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hello:

Has anyone ever tried this and succeeded or found a work-around?

Configuration:

- Solaris 10 x86 (HW 06/06 patched) implemented inside VMWare Server 1.0.1
- Veritas Storage Foundation 4 Basic (latest) inside the same Virtual machine.
- Provision several VMWare based "*.vmdk" disks for Volume Manager to use.

The problem is that Volume Manager complains that "Disk sector size is not
supported" when I try to initialize the VMWare based disks for use with
Volume Manager. See below:

Have you checked the HCL? SF

SF 4.1 : exftpp.symantec.com/pub/support/products/Foundation_Suite/279538.pdf
SF 5.0: exftpp.symantec.com/pub/support/products/Foundation_Suite/283161.pdf

Seems only 64-bit architecture is supported.

Supporting Storage Foundation and VCS on Unix and Windows as well as NetBackup on Unix and Windows.
Handy NBU links
