Unable to install BE 12.5 Linux Agent from download - apparently missing Perl

I have a client that has a Windows-based network and a Linux web server that I want to suggest BE 12.5 to.  I have the licenses for the NFR BE 12.5 which includes the download of  BEWS_12.5.2213_LINUX-UNIX-MAC-SAP_AGENTS.tar.gz .  I have performed the decompression and extraction based on the documentation and am unable to execute a successful installation.  An error occurs because the system is trying to access the directory where the Perl software is supposed to be but it isn't there.  The Unix, Mac and SAP agent directories all include the appropriate Perl data but not the Linus.

What should I do?  I do not have the BE 12.5 media.  Only the download files.

This sort of error is usually

This sort of error is usually linked with doing part of the extraction using a Windows machine, but you have indicated that you have followed the documentation.

I have seen related errors if the Perl installer does not have the execute attribute - which does seem to sometime happen even when extracting using the documentation.

Other than that what version of Linux are you trying to install on, is it on the SCL for 12.5?
