    Hi,

I have checked post and it doesnt really relate to the error code we have, I also found this:

Incorrect Registry value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GroupOrderList for PNP_TDI

The PNP_TDI value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GroupOrderList does not consist of multiples of four bytes, e.g.:

    PNP_TDI

    07 00 00 00 05 00 00 00

    03 00 00 00 04 00 00 00

    01 00 00 00 08 00 00 00

    06 00 00 00 07 00 00 00

    00 00 00

The last three bytes above (00 00 00) may have been caused by inappropriately editing the Registry, or may have been the result of a 3rd Party driver installation routine.

I have changed the values and it still doesn't work...

    "return value 3".

You also look for the MSI Errors:

SEP client install rollback. SEP_inst.log show "InstallFinalize. Return Value 3"

    Suggestions -

Please ensure that the UAC is disabled on the Windows 7 machine.

Secondly, you are trying to install the SEP 12.1.671.4971.105 which is a RTM version of SEP 12.1.

Could you try installing the SEP 12.1 RU2 (SEP 12.1.2015) on the Windows 7 machine and check if that helps!!

    Mithun,

Please ensure that the UAC is disabled on the Windows 7 machine.

According to the log the installation is already elevated:

MSI (s) (70:D8) [11:43:28:726]: MSI_LUA: Credential prompt not required, user is an admin

How can I troubleshoot whether the Windows Installer was run from an elevated context?
The Windows Installer verbose log will contain the following line when the caller to the Windows Installer is already elevated.
MSI_LUA: Credential prompt not required, user is an admin
