SEP 12.1.671.4971 will not install on MAC OSX 10.7 Lion. Not supported OS. When will SEP 12.1 support Lion?

I believe we will see support added for MAC OS 10.7 Lion in the first Release Update (RU1).

I will try and get confirmation on this.

I can verify that if SEP 12.1 is installed on Mac OS X 10.6, and then you upgrade to Mac OS X 10.7, the SEP 12.1 client works. In fact, it works great from what I can tell.

MAC OS 10.7 Lion is at present unsupported. However, it would be supported in the Upcoming Releases.

Is there a date set for the release. We have Macbooks come with Lion and are unable to provide to users as Symantec is not support.

We are buying some new Airs, but I won't allow them on the network without a functioning client, and I don't want to have to downgrade them to Snow Leopard just to install SEP and then upgrade them back to ship-state!

Please let us know when the RU1 will be released...

Release date for RU1 is not set yet. I am guessing we may see it released sometime next quarter.
