Unable to install SEP client on SEPM machine

Hello again!
I´m not able to install the SEP client on my Manger server. Is it impossible by default or may there be an error? Event log displays MSI event "Installation of SEP failed"!

It's advised to install the SEP client on your SEP manager. So there is definitly some error taking place. Do you have more details from the eventviewer and/or install logs?

Did you ever have SSC on this server and AMS as well?
You have to remove both before starting with the install.
AMS will give you a fatal error if SSC has already been taken off, You will have to use 290301 to take it off.
I take it that your doing a silent push install. Try to install the SEP client from the original media (SEP or SEPWin64 directory on CD1 depending on the OS) on the console. If nothing else, you'll get an error message that may have more information.

Thanks for your help - I had SCC and AMS installed on the same machine in the past. I knew about the compatibility problem and uninstalled both components before the manager setup - but AMS remained installed due to a Windows Installer database error - Now 290301 did a successful cleanup and even my silent installation of SEP 11 completed with no error.
