    Hi,

    if you have Windows 7 SP1, it is not supported on 11.0.6005, you need to install at least 11.0.7000.

    I tried installing LU first. It installs but the SEP install still fails.

    I am using a domain admin account, but will try with a local admin account and get back.

    Solution

    Re-register MSI by:

    Start run -> msiexec /unregserver ->click OK

    then

    Start run -> msiexec /regserver ->click OK

    Reference: http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/i-cant-uninstall-or-remove-feature-endpoint-client-my-manager-server

    Incase upon Registering the MSI , Receive Error: "Process marked for deletion"

    1) Install Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable on the server and restarted the server.

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5a58b56f-60b6-4412-95b9-54d056d6f9f4&displaylang=en

    2) Re-register MSI by:

    Start run -> msiexec /unregserver ->click OK

    then

    Start run -> msiexec /regserver ->click OK

    3) Uninstall Liveupdate and Check if the Windows Installer service is in Stopped mode and type is Manual.

    4) Re - run the Setup.exe file for Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager.

    How do I install AV/AS first?

    I have already tried norton power erazer few times when the system was infected.

    Hi,

    Before trying to install SEP disable UAC account from controlpanel.

    Same error - this is really disappointing. I was able to install Avast / AVG without issues on the same computer while Symantec an enterprise brand doesnt install and no one seems to know how to fix this. I saw some other similar posts complaining of the same issue.

    Cleaning windows registry entries should have solved this, I think all registry entries as you claim did not get deleted, the simple reason being ignorance of using correct search key, what search keys you tried to delete these registy entries?

    Important -Take registry backup before playing around with windows registry else the system may stop working at all!!

    Weird. Clean wipe should do it...  might consider to take another shot using it

    Have you try run Symantec Support Tool and check the log?

    Out of randomness you may also try to repair Windows,  "sfc /scannow"
