Unable to install SEP unmanaged client on one computer installation rollback

Hi Guys,

 

   Newbie here, glad to be in the team.

 

well i have an issue, Trying to install symantec Endpoint Protection client on one computer(unmanaged) but the installation rolls back at 90%.

Collected the logs and found the value 3 so uninstalled live update and then tried to install the sep but still does not work

Ran cleanwipe 2 times and tried but still the same effect, Disconnected all the network drives and deleted remaining symantec folders from application data as well as programfiles

Gave full permission to program files and to the installer folder

Still the same thing the SEP installation(client) rolls back just when it is going to be completed.

Installed the latest liveupdate first and then tried installing the sep but again the same, installation will not get completed it just rolls back

Lost at sea, assist me people

follow the manul uninstallation steps and try reinstalling ( this includes registry cleaning having Symantec Entries).

 

is this machine applied with GPO policy, ensure policy is not blocking the installation!!

Check if Event Log is started in Services.msc

1. Check if Event Log is Started and set as automatic  in services.msc. If this service is stopped, then,
2. Download eventlog.dll file and copy it in C:\WINDOWS\system32
3. Start the Event Log services and install SEP11
