    Hello,

Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.5002 was the first version which supported the Windows 7 version.

I would request you to Install the Latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection version 11.0.7101 on your Windows 7 64 bit machine.

About Endpoint Protection support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2

I am sure that would work.

    Hi There,

Ad per adviced, I've upgrade my sepm into 11.0.500.333 without any problem. I'm able to upgrade my existing client running window XP from 11.0.4000.2295 to 11.0.500.333.

But when I try to perform fresh install to my new notebook running windows 7 pro, the installation process ran up to 4x% and then rollback, then the installation screen disappeared and nothing happen.

    Appreciate your help.

    regards,

    Jim

    Hello,

I would request you to Install the Latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection version 11.0.7101 (instead of Symantec Endpoint Protection version 11.0.5002 ) on your Windows 7 64 bit machine.

    Is UAC turned on?

Since you are installing manually, if UAC is on on the netbook, you will need to "Right Click" the installer package and "Run as Administrator".

Alternatively, you can turn off UAC for the administrator account only, which for future installations wil allow you to skip this step.

    Hi,

Before you trying to uninstall disable UAC A/C in control panel.

Ask Symantec Support for the tool cleanwipe to delete your SEP Client completely.
Then you should install the newest version from SEP11: 11.0.7 MP1 or 12.1 RU1

    Special things to do:
    Deactivate UAC for install
Remote install over RDP should be used with: /console or /admin
optional: Deactivate Tamper Protection for install (for client migration)
