I was unable to install SEP11 RU5 on a Windows XP SP3 client machine. While reviewing the install log, I found the section with 'Value 3'. Can anyone intepret what the issue may be?

This problem happens only in one machine? This machine already got SEP installed or it is a new installation? You can try use cleanwipe for cleaning all symantec installations... and try again.

So far this has only occurred on one machine. The machine migrated from SAV10 to SEP11

This is the first return value 3 that we are looking for. Wanted to know was this machine ever infected with a virus. If that's a case than u will have to map the drive of this computer to a machine that has symantec endpoint up and running and run a scan on it.

Other option you can try is you can download malware bytes on the machine do a full scan using it. Reboot the machine and start the installation. I think that should work fine. In case there is any issue please upload the installation log file.
