Unable to Install Thin Client Deployment

Hi,
Fairly new to working with Altiris but when I attempt to install deployment software 6.8 or 6.9 i get an error that I do not have a SQL Server or MSDE installed on the machine when I do. I'm running SQL 2005 express on a Windows 2003 test domain. The whole point is to get a feel of what can be done with Altiris for my Thin Clients. If you any ideas or documentation you can send me that would be great.

I am not sure it will work with a user installed MSDE or SQL Express version, as I also tried that and had nothing but grief. In the getting started guide in appendix A it states to use the Simple Install Helper. This will install it's own MSDE version setting the sa account and password.
from my experience, Altiris is as bed as SMS when it comes to SQL Express , it causes headaches!!!
After I put SQL2k5 srv on it it worked like a charm.
I'de recomand removing express , removing Altiris --> install SQL2k5 -->DS6.8 or 6.9
