Unable to Login to SEPM

    Hi There,

    I'm unable to login to SEPM and below are the changes that happened since my last login;

    • The server where SEPM is installed has been removed from a domain and added to a new domain with a new IP series
    • Moved the Symantec server data from on drive to another with the wizard.

And I'm not sure whether since then the problem arise. I have tried few of the forum posts looking for logs... etc but didn't help much. Is there a way to figure out?

Or will it be an issue if I uninstall and re-install the whol SEPM service itself?

Download and run the symdiag tool on it:

Download SymDiag to detect Symantec product issues

Should. You need .NET 2.0 or later. Does it prompt with any warnings?

you should not move the SEPM just like that from one drive to another drive.

how many clients do you have ?

are you using embedded or SQL database ?

what is the version of your SEPM

    Hi There,

I cannot run the SymDiag tool and it gives me below error.

    sym-error.PNG

I have then followed the process on the given link above and returned with no success as the error keeps on repeating.

    -------------

@Praveen - I have moved the internally between drives using the tool. However, it didn't work before either.

I have about 20 clients and it is an embedded database. My version of the SEPM is 12.1 ...

since there are only 20 clients you can uninstall/ reinstall SEPM.

    Install new SEPM

use this links to point the previous clients to new SEPM

    https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH199124.html

entire process will not take more than an hour

@Rafeeq - That's what I actually thought of doing... Thanks for the ping back.

Let me post back with the results.

I agree with Rafeeq, since its just 20 clients the easiest and the quickest way is to re-install the SEPM and replace the sylink file using communication update package.
