Unable to mount logical drive after driver loads successfully

Created: 09 Jun 2014 | 8 comments

Hello

We are in desperate need of your help.

We have SBS2011 server (2008r2 + Exchange 2010).  The server has a Raid5 using onboard controller. Server is a Dell T110 II  Service Tag: FD4XRR1.

This is not my first time preforming a restore but fur sure is the most frustrating. What is happening is that onfter we boot into the PE Recovery from the recovery disk. The logical drive are not showing. I got a controller driver form Dell (there are only 2 X86 & X64). I used the X86 driver which says that it loaded successfully however the logical drives don't get mounted. What am i missing? Is there some sort of CLI command i need to run to get the drives to mount?

Any and all help is appreciated...

Thank you

You need to make sure that you load the server 2008 x86 drivers in the SRD for you raid controller: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...

What version of the SRD are you using?

And can you provide details (download link) of the drivers that you have tried with so far.

Hello

Thank you for your reply.

I'm using the version below. Sym_System_Recovery_2011_10.0.3.45857_English_Recovery_Disk_Only.zip

I will also try the driver recommended by Marcus.

Will update later today.

Than you again.

Hello Markus

The dirver i have load successfully at least that's what the pop up message says. However no drive comes up in explorer. Do i need to some how manually mount the logical drive using some CLI command?

Thank you

Normally not. As soon as the driver is successfully loaded, for example diskpart shows the drives as configured on the RAID
