  • 1.  Unable to publish workflow locally

    Posted Jun 04, 2015 02:28 PM

    Hello,

I'm new to workflow and Servicedesk and unable to publish a workflow, I'm sure I'm missing something easy.

    Two Servers

    SMP

    Servicedesk with Full Servicedesk install.

I'm on the Servicedesk Server and try to publish a workflow locally and it shows "Could not contact Workflow Server".

Based on what I'm reading, do I have to register the Servicedesk Server on the SMP?

    Thank you

Check to make sure the Symantec Workflow Service windows service is on. Or restarting it wouldn't be a bad idea. (kick it in the head)

    Hi lotsill,

Check your Server settings and after try publish:

You can check your Server Settings following these steps in your Workflow Server:

    Task Tray Tools>Settings

    TaskTrayTools.png

Local Machine Info>Select Local>Edit (Or Add)

    MachineSettings.png

If you are not comfortable to edit you can also add new option through the add button.

And the last thing try publish againg the Workflow.

    Regards,

    Big thanks.

I have the servers DNS name of Servicedesk7.5 in the IP address field and the URL filed was https://servicedesk75.

Once I changed it to 127.0.0.1 in both settings I was able to publish.
